If Klymit continues to revolutionize their award-winning Static V line, they're going to run into trouble coming up with new product names. Recently unveiled at Outdoor Retailer 2017, Klymit has yet again demonstrated why their sleeping pads continue to be staples of every lightweight backpacker's stash. Unlike the original Static V, the Ultralite SL has hit the gym (11 oz fully inflated vs. 18 oz) while retaining all of the features that made the Static V a camping favorite: ribbed V texture to loft your sleeping bag and prevent sliding during the night, 20D ripstop polyester fabric for tent camping on rocky terrain, and 2.5 inches of thickness after 10-20 breaths to turn transform the Static V Ultralite into the ultimate camping air mattress. Don't worry about the Ultralite SL taking up any space in your bag, either. Once deflated, the sleeping pad fits snugly into a small stuff sack that compresses to the size of a small water bottle.
Note for the uninitiated: "SL" means "slim," which is enough surface area for an average-sized (6 ft) grown man. See Klymit's Double Static V in the Klymit collection section on our website if you're looking to tango for two.
